X JPN

X is the first game to offer 3D graphics on a portable console. Even though Gunpei Yokoi did not foresee this functionality when he designed the Game Boy, Dylan Cuthbert succeeded in creating a program allowing it to display 3D wireframe graphics.

  • Originally the game was to be called Eclipse.
  • A version of the game was planned for the American market. However, it was canceled due to a lack of interested distributors. The Rom of the American version exists.
  • The game's composer, Kazumi Totaka, composed a melody for this game, which is also found in Zelda Link's Awakening.
